If you want a good laugh go to the distribution tab then scroll down to passing network and specifically look at the passing between the keeper, Grant, Courtney-Perkins and Garruccio. It's like they're were getting paid per short pass, ridiculous football.

The problem was that at a critical point in the competition's development, Buckley and Lowy's attention was fully on the WC bid for almost 3 years. During that time, the A League was left to drift without anything close to adequate governance. Promotion of the League became non-existent. Funds that might have supported domestic football were sucked into the black hole of the WC bid, which many of us, me included, never gave a snowflake's chance in hell. Frank Lowy made the mistake of allowing his heart to rule his head. Millions of dollars disappeared in the bank accounts of shady middlemen.

I completely understand Lowy's perspective in wanting the Finals here. The WC would have changed the sporting landscape forever. Unfortunately, the A League was thrown under a bus as he pursued that impossible dream.

Lowy had a habit of throwing people under the bus to pursue his sporting dreams.

That is the very first time i have even looked at shite like that, and it will also be the last. Too many people obsessed with shitey stats like that.

Yes, but those judging must consider whether their judgement is based on knowledge. In this case, I suggest yours is not. You are making a raft of assumptions based on exactly what?

The philosopher Edmund Husserl believed that we approach truth through justified belief, and that there were degrees of adequation in that justification. While I acknowledge that this is only an internet forum, I think one of the problems of the online world is it that encourages the suspension of critical thinking.
Anyway, I had better get back to work!

You'll forgive me, being of Greek ethnicity, preferring an argumentative dialogue methodology in order to stimulate critical thinking and conclude truth. All in the spirit of cooperation and philosophical thought :P
