Aussies abroad šŸŒšŸ¦˜

No, Im asking for the vast majority of Australians that have, often complex, allegiances to other nations... This whole gatekeeping fascist rules about who is and isnt "Aussie enough" can get in the bin.
Don’t disagree with any of that. I’m curious, let’s say Greece are playing Australia like the friendly at the MCG 20 years ago. What are your feelings/thoughts? Not having a go, just don’t personally have that experience as my background is a whole bunch of different countries/regions.

I was at both MCG and 10 or so years ago at Etihad stadium friendlies. Im sure you are not suprised to learn I am quite opinionated on football matters and on principle I despise half/half football scarves with a passion - the below is the ONLY one I own and I wear it proudly to Socceroos games, I even wore it Socceroos fanzone screenings

Most of my friends and family are just as passionate supporters of the Socceroos as they are of the Greek national team . I understand people NOT having the understanding of what it means to have two homelands but pretending to know what is another persons heart based on your own insecurity (the figurative "your") is bullshit. I LOVE having two teams to cheer for at World Cups sometimes (Greece ALMOST squeezed in the year - bloody Scotland GRRR) who wouldn't? IF by some bizarro world scenario Greece v Australia playing for a World Cup final.... I will have won before the ball is even kicked, is it so hard to comprehend?

Somewhere in the quantum universe of infinite possibilities, Greece and Australia will be lining up in the next final. Whatever score you predict will be correct in one universe, so you may as well celebrate!

I'm not questioning yours or anyone else’s. I just think people should be proud of the country that made them who they are.
Made them who they are?? So you are questioning the national fervour of the dozens of South American kids that leave home for Europe every year, and then have tears rolling down their cheeks when singing the national anthem of the country that sent them out into the world to become men? Of Messi leaving Argentina at 13 for example, should he be proud of Spain and NOT Argentina?

FFS the internet has made your generations mind into mush.. Its not ALL black and white, there is plenty of grey left in the world...

More so as people not players.

Archie Goodwin started and played 61 minutes for Charlotte FC in their 6-0 US Open Cup round of 32 win over 10-man Charlotte Independence before being subbed off, scoring the opening goal of the match in the first minute of first half stoppage time and getting a yellow card in the seventh minute of first half stoppage time.

There are amazing possibilities for lonely people if all possible worlds exist
Ah yes, David Lewis - I have his book on what he calls modal realism. I cannot but feel that it is pointless to argue something is true if (a) you can't prove it is, and (b) you can't prove it isn't. Only one thing is certain: we just have one awareness so any other hypothetical universes may as well not exist anyway. How this intersects with quantum theory is way above my pay grade, buy what I do know is that it doesn't change our lives one iota. There is excellent scifi film called "Coherence" about what happens when multiple universes intersect - highly recommended.
