There's never going to be promotion and relegation in the Australian Men's A League....

People just have to except that the game’s business model doesn't allow for it.

The best thing that can happen is further expansion from within the current NPL ecosystems....

Your South Melbournians, Gold Coast Uniteds, Sydney Uniteds etc...

Contentious - I know but they are one of the few NPL clubs with the required infrastructural systems in place.

I think that the Men's A League has the potential to eventually develop into a 16 club competition with 30 games per season Home and Away with a finals.

A 36 week season with 16 weeks off.....

This is a concept that will be pleasing to most football fans I think.

The Women’s A League should be able to follow suit.

Id also like to see another Brisbane club emerge with a Gold Coast United or Knights but it wont come from the existing NPL clubs. Will have to be a entirely new operation.

Queensland should be able to integrate 3 clubs into the Men's A League.

I would like this too but I wish matches between shit teams actually meant something. Mexico’s crowds dropped when they indefinitely paused relegation because the bottom teams had nothing to play for.

35th minute. Rogerson tried to clear for Auckland but the ball hit his hand. Presumably no VAR because he had played at it. Such a stupid law that no hand ball is given if the ball hits the hand of the player after they have played at it! He clearly got an advantage from the hand ball.

Although I do hope a decade from now the Women’s A League should be able to sustain a full-time professional set up.
