A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 23

We do need to eek out every advantage we have (lots of concerns over the time slots of nst games too)

Its tricky tho because tv stations have a big say too

Why should games be held on Easter Sunday if they’re not held on Christmas Day?

In saying that though, the Sydney Kings in the NBL always play a game on Christmas Day at night. The NBA also has games on Christmas Day.

Why not, no one in the Christian faith gives a fuck these days, more of them are in clubs and pubs than in the chapel/ church. Plus, Australia is a big multicultural country, with many of the faiths who do not celebrate Easter.
Up until the mid seventies football was played on successive days at Christmas, on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day in the UK.

Except the vast majority of Aussies do celebrate Christmas and Easter, we just do it secularly. In my family and many others we always had lunch and dinner after presents/Easter eggs. Crowds on days like them aren’t gonna be huge either.

They seemed to work mightily well for the rugby league and Aussie rules on Sunday.

I never mentioned Christmas, although that is changing also. I am not not much of a Christmas fan these days, it is in my eyes for children only. Being Scottish, we as a nation are not big on Christmas, but more so New year, or Hogmanay if you wish. Christmas only became official in Scotland in 1958. Before that it was a normal working day.
 
Do you ever venture out on an Easter Sunday, plenty of people out and about on the booze and shops. I must say i have never had an Easter lunch in my entire life, and i don't know anyone of my friends who have either. Must be truly an effnick thing

Cathos/Prodestants/Orthodox Christians (this weekend) world over its one of the biggest festive days around the globe.
Sutho just being his usual self :)
Enjoy the porridge/oatmeal/brose but can't wait to dig into the haggis later in the day yumyum sounds divine.
