A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 23

Managed to catch the first 20 minutes of City vs WSW and I don't think that Arzani will be on the plane to the WC with the caveat that Popa is coaching the NT. Not sure when his loan ends but I doubt that Ferencvárosi TC will need him back.

Daniel Arzani's loan at Melbourne City finishes at season's end and he may well be delisted by Ferencvaros if they don't need him back for next season.

And perhaps even taking into account a much smaller city population, only 2 AFL teams versus 1 NRL team and 10 AFL teams?
But at the same time, South Australian’s are very, very passionate about their Aussie rules.

In addition, most people support either Port or Adelaide. There are a small amount of people who support a Victorian club though given people back in the day would support a local SANFL club as well as a VFL club.

Just finished watching the MC vs WSW game. I will add Jai Rose to my list of U23 players to watch.
Also, I am curious as to the lineup for MC - I am sure they will be rotating players but I wonder who, specially now with Younis missing due to the red card.

Victory pulled just under 9k

So if you put both together it's still not even really a respectable number.

This what I'm saying something needs to change the actual football is fine but all this didn't just happen it's years of decisions and things that have turned people away.

All the other clubs need to stfu and listen to whatever Adelaide is doing
I said it elsewhere in the forum, the one thing Adelaide have got right in recent years (right sized stadium aside) is their focus on bringing through local SA talent instead of bringing a chuckload from other states.

One state clubs like Brisbane & Perth should be focusing on bringing through local Qld & WA talent (something the latter did very successfully in the dark old days of the old NSL but went away from in the A-League era).

Those two clubs come from states where state pride is a massive part of their cultural psyche so going away from focusing on players in their home states has been a big mistake and damaged them both greatly.

The one thing the A-League did get right in the early days of one team per city was the focus on bringing through local talent, it was almost a quasi State of Origin type deal which people like, especially when trying to convert non-football fans.

The football might be fine but it's boring. Every team was playing the slow build up, possession style because Sydney and others had a bit of success with it, but it's terrible to watch. The Jets try to play attacking style, but they drift back to the old style very quickly because that's what they were taught. As I have said before, I wish every team would play like the Jets, but I would love it if they played like the Jets on steroids. Then the crowds would return

Agreed, not just in Australia, but around the world in general. Supporters the world over are complaining about the centre back being the fulcrum of the team. Backwards, side ways , side ways, backwards again . Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Yeah I have no idea how teams play TBH I'm not that into tactics. There's just no flair anymore that's for sure like we need characters back in the game but now days everyone swaps teams like it's nothing
