Middlesbrough are one point off Millwall on 71 points through matchday 40, with Ipswich Town two points behind with two games in hand so they could still drop to fourth depending on how the catch-up games pan out and may well drop outside the top six altogether by season's end if they continue to drop points.

Sam Silvera will most likely be on managed minutes as he makes his return from injury but if he can make an impact for Middlesbrough then they should have a chance at pushing for the automatic promotion places during the rest of the run home.
