That is 8 matches in 30 days !

Dockerty Cup - Just play our Under 23s in the Dockerty Cup match against Hampton East Brighton.

NPL Victoria - Full first team senior players should be played against Preston and St Albans. About 8 first team players against Oakleigh.

OFC Pro League - Non-first team players against Auckland, with 3 first team players to complement the non-first team squad players against Bula, PNG Hekari and Tahiti United.
No argument here , reckon that the only way to get some point of at least 1/2 these matches... If we go undefeated in April I will NEVER question the boffins again.

Ideally we need the full complement of first team players against Preston Lions and Oakleigh but we can afford to skimp on fielding a full-strength side against St Albans.

If we can get as many points as possible in April in both OFC Pro League and NPL Victoria competitions, then that sets us up nicely. The month of May will largely be focused on OFC Pro League, with the Leaders Group, semi finals and possible Grand Final.

A draw against Auckland and 3 wins against Bula, PNG Hekari and Tahiti United would be the ultimate scenario in the OFC.

Even if we draw against Preston away and defeat Oakleigh and St Albans, then that would still be a pretty good set of results.

Its a lot easier said than done ! The coaching staff will need to pull off a few miracles to make all of the above work out.

And just realised Preston game is Easter Saturday :( at least 3pm is sort of doable...

Apart from the bergers at the start of May we can afford to take the foot off if we have a decent April.

That is one of two the fixtures where we are well and truly exposed. The Heidelberg fixture is in the middle of the Leaders Group finals series in Auckland. That fixture could get ugly with our Under 23s against Heidelberg. It is a loss we can afford given the hundreds of thousands of dollars on offer from OFC Pro League. Let the Heidelberg fans sell DVDs on that win.

Furthermore, if we qualify for the OFC Pro League Grand Final, then Hellas should try and get the Avondale fixture moved to midweek or postponed. The OFC Pro League Grand Final is on Sunday 24th May and Avondale home fixture is Monday 25th May. That is another certain loss if we cant move that Avondale fixture.

Also, just counted between 11th April and 19th April there are FIVE matches in 8 day, in two countries?!?!?!?!!?!?! If Sinisa manages to be present for all of these and gets decent points Im building him a fuckin statue.....
Looks like Poutakidis will be in Fiji and Sinisa back in Melbourne.

This is going to stretch us. If we pull this off across two countries, then I’ll never doubt the Football Department again.

Or adelaide oval even! Perhaps then all those other 'athletes' can go with them!
Its our sour grapes about the Athletics δεν μας φταινε.

They will have 10,000+ there on Saturday like they did last year, broadcast on Channel 7, for all of Australia to admire Lakeside and then we will have 400-500 max on Tuesday night broadcast on Youtube..... its no wonder we are second class citizens.

Midweek games only work outer suburbs imo!
