Dont know mate, everyone watches for a different reason. I do it because I love my club and would watch even if the team only fielded 3 old ladies and a trout. Others because the like to watch athetic young men compete in beautiful sport, again others becuase they appreciate the tactics or the stats or they just love to gamble... Not trying to bum you out but you dont get upset when your favourite actor stops making comedies and tries a serious movie every now and then do you???

You wouldn't be watching if your team only fielded 3 old ladies and a trout. You would need at least 3 more old ladies/trout to take the field (need minimum 7 players for a game to commence and continue).
