US military commanders have been invoking extremist Christian rhetoric about biblical “end times” to justify involvement in the Iran war to troops, according to complaints made to a watchdog group.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) says it has received more than 200 complaints from service members across all branches of the armed forces, including the marines, air force, and space force.


One complainant, identified as a noncommissioned officer (NCO) in a unit that could be deployed “at any moment to join” operations against Iran, told MRFF in a complaint viewed by the Guardian that their commander had “urged us to tell our troops that this was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ”.

“He said that ‘President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth’”, the NCO added.

Donald Trump has launched a deeply personal attack on Keir Starmer over his refusal to let the US launch initial strikes on Iran from British bases, telling reporters: “This is not Winston Churchill that we’re dealing with.”

In his latest extraordinary salvo, the US president said he was not happy with the UK even though the prime minister eventually agreed the US could use Diego Garcia for strikes on Iranian missile facilities.

Its a worry, the news outlets in Greece are starting to talk about conscription.. Most males are reservists that have already completed military service... France and Britain both sanding equal sized task forces to Cyprus.... we wont let them take the other half of the Island no matter what Erdogan wants.

Mate ALL mums are worried, war is war... At the moment the Iranians have only struck the British base at Akrotiri but who knows in the coming days.

Greek reporters were saying that fragments of attack drones found in Cyprus were Russian made....

I'm pretty sure Iran won't take the risk of bringing in the European NATO countries...

Unless it's being egged on by Russia who are supplying hardware.

Then maybe we're in WW3 territory....

Yeah its almost as if Europe (like the rest of the world) doesnt use reserves bought and paid for 6-12 months ago... the price going up is just "precautionary" ..... bastards. everywhere.
