I hope he returns. If he has a successful stint in Malta, then he may try his luck in other European countries. The 2025–26 Maltese Premier League is the 111st season of top-flight league football in Malta. The season began on 16 August 2025 and will end in May 2026

Seaosn ends in June for most... I reckon he will be back... Malta isnt exactly a glamour league.I hope he returns. If he has a successful stint in Malta, then he may try his luck in other European countries.
Mikkola was MOM for me... absolutely everywhere and in everything.... a goal, 2 assists... masterclass.Great win by the team tonight. Ended 5-0 but should have been at least 8-0. We totally outplayed them. Pasquali and Giannakopoulos in the middle of the park were huge. Uchida and Bonada did not stop running all night. The Solomon Kings could not handle Uchida’s running and attacking play. Only negative is we got caught out 2-3 times defensively, so it’s something the cos g will need to work on.
I’m glad Sinisa made changes at the 65th minute mark, if we had been far more clinical in front of goal then we could have made those changes earlier. The positive is that 5 players were given an early night. That means we should have a pretty strong lineup against Bentleigh on Saturday. Three day break should provide sufficient rest.
I was actually expecting more from the Solomon Kings.
South Melbourne finished the game with the full complement of 11, with Solomon Kings down to 10 men after a red card for them in the 53rd minute.South did well to run out the game strong with 10 men...
Yeah thats was bizarre, asking for tickets at every opportunity... I just told them I didnt have one and walked upstairs anyway... security didnt even try to stop me.We could have scored 8 at least. They themselves probably should have got 2. We got absolutely torched on a few counters from our own set pieces and you could see they have the raw speed to trouble us, but we are far technically superior and stronger and like South Island last week they can be easily torn apart at the back. Will be a very difficult game against them in Honiara shortly.
Im gonna say Mikkola played his best game for the club tonight since his early days back in 2022 until Esteban watered him down.
Swibel was average again up top, but the real concern is that you can only assume Siki is being forced to play Messourouni, the kid is dead set terrible and literally feels like we are a player short. Im surprised we didnt see Singh.
The usual suspects were great as always and Cocks with another good cameo off the bench.
You would think something similar to tonight will be our team on Saturday night.
A big F U to everyone involved in this matchday for making it an absolute chore being allowed up into the grandstand even though it was empty. Good support for the Soloman kings, not as much as what they had the previous match they played, thought ths crowd in general would have been bigger.
We need 1,000+ against Bentleigh on Saturday.
Thought the keeper was hard done by until I watched the replay last night.. Grub act, straight red.... totally understand why the ref took .7 of a second to decide after VAR... They'll suffer for it during our next match their keeper was their best player...South Melbourne finished the game with the full complement of 11, with Solomon Kings down to 10 men after a red card for them in the 53rd minute.
