PFA Boss wants coopetition

Are you asking if the players are getting paid or not? Sure at most levels on the pyramid they are.
Their main income comes from playing football as opposed to having a regular job and playing for a few thousand dollars on the weekend. That is, not semi-professional although it can be argued that some players in the AL are just that but they still have to train almost every day.

Yeah, WA has Pro/Rel as well.

I assumed every state (at NPL/state league) had it. 🤷‍♀️
Can u explain the wa pyramid and recent changes to it. Im a bit confused about it

Professional football?
Semi pro, players get paid but still hold down jobs outside of football.

I have worked with NPL and lower tier players who were obviously getting paid to play but still held fulltime jobs outside of football.

Playing for a couple of G on the weekend is probably more lucrative than being an Aleague scholarship player no? What make one club "professional" and the other not? The training requirements? Im pretty sure lots of NPL clubs train 4-5 times a week these days...

All divisions have 12 teams...

NPL - top division.
Bottom team relegated to State League 1
2nd last goes into a playoff.

State League 1.
Top team promotes to NPL.
2nd, 3rd & 4th goes into a playoff with 2nd last from NPL. Winner of the playoff goes to/stays in NPL.
Bottom team relegated to State League 2
2nd last goes into a playoff.

State League 2

There's also a playoff between the bottom of State League 2 and the top teams of the Sunday Amateur Premier league, but I'm not 100% sure how that works. I think Amateur teams can choose not to enter the playoff (and stay in the Amateur league the following season), and they need to meet ground criteria if they do want to try to promote to State League 2.
