He's hit some really good form again but he doesn't repay his call ups. I want to include him but spots are scarce. For me Segecic must be picked before him. Robertson and Segecic are locks for me. I don't want to be left wondering by having others stuff around on the ball.

I wouldn't have Hrustic in as a right inside forward.

I think the centre mid positions are interesting. We play two centre mids. You can break those roles down as the box-to-box and the defensive mid.

I could see him as one of the box-to-box mids. In terms of depth I think it's Irvine, Robertson then there's a debate.

I have Yazbek and Hrustic next fighting for a spot. I get in two minds with Hrustic. His defensive game is disappointing or inconistent. But his club form and level is higher than most midfield options. 4 goals 7 odd assists in the Eredivisie. If we need a goal... Has 6 caps under Popovic but mostly at inside forward. I think he may make the squad.

I see the defensive mids as Balard, Devlin, O'Neill. I'd take Segecic as an inside forward. Metcalfe as right wing back/utility.
 
I have a feeling Popa may look to plug the RWB spot with either Degenek or Circati. Would take Talbot over Atkinson who's confidence looks shot, was really hoping Bovalina would show more for the u23's and be a smokey.... I like thought of Bennie or Metcalfe, maybe Strain although haven't watched him recently.

Wouldn't put it past him and that's where it would get ridiculous. Degenek is much too slow. The only benefit is he's good at zonal defending in his area which he did well at RB at the last world cup. Circati can pass but I think he's so important in the middle that I'd hate to see Popovic give that up.

In desperation I've widened my search even further. Does anyone think Angus Thurgate could do a job for us at rwb?

Versatility could get you in so that's why I think Atkinson has good cards here.

Thurgate would do a better job than O'Neill at present.

Atkinson has to be under consideration atm even though I'm convinced he's better further forward. Also, iirc didn't someone on here reckon his confidence is shot?
