Big Ange thread

What a great gig though. Guaranteed riches to set you up for life if you're successful and if you fuck it up?

A big fat payout that sets you up for life.
yep agreed, funny someone I know says he's miles behind (obviously) for the best of them all in recent times for good payouts - The Chosen One.
Since his great heydays been at about 6clubs x 2yr stay payouts lol his worth is around A$140M !!!!! smug P would be smiling from ear to bum hole.

How are Rangers going?
As in Glasgow Rangers? Second, five points off Hearts. Unless you mean QPR who are 13th but only three points off playoffs.

Speaking of QPR, they play in the Championship. Since he’s already done his thing in the Premiership and the Premier League, what if he got the job at a Championship club where the fans would respect and appreciate him more anyway and then aim for promotion, then midtable, then Europe (e.g Sunderland last season, maybe Boro this season if their transfer window is smart).

I have always wondered how a club like South Melbourne would go in the A-League. On one hand you guys are a massive club with an established fanbase. But on the other hand, would the A-League reject the club’s Greek identity as part of their post-NSL “unity” policy? If so, Hellas without Hellenic culture would feel very wrong, as would APIA without Italian culture, Preston without Macedonian culture, SU58 without Croatian culture, etc. That might be stopping them from going into the A-League, as there’s a chance the APL would ask them to give up an important part of the club’s history.

you can't cleanse/wipeout DNA my friend - whereas a business comes and goes.
None of our clubs would accept the thought.

This is what I was thinking. Otherwise surely clubs the size of APIA, Hellas, etc would’ve applied to go pro again. Respect to them for staying true to themselves. I thought it was ridiculous when they forced clubs like Brunswick Juventus to be renamed (thankfully the policy was overturned), like Juventus is literally a football club.

Aleague and the APL can suck our balls... Hellas is and always WILL be Hellas... Anything done against the memberships wishes and the fanbases identity wouldnt be our club so wouldn't concern us.
