Matilda's abroad

Caitlin Foord played the entirety of Arsenal's 4-0 UWCL knockout phase play-off first leg win over OH Leuven, getting a brace of assists in the 22nd and 52nd minute. Kyra Cooney-Cross finally made her return to play for Arsenal, coming on in the 73rd minute. No game time for Steph Catley, who was an unused substitute.
 
Hayley Raso came on in the 73rd minute for Eintracht Frankfurt in their 4-0 UEFA Women's Europa Cup quarterfinal first leg win over FC Nordsjaelland.
 
Aivi Luik started and played 60 minutes for Hacken in their 7-0 UEFA Women's Europa Cup quarterfinal first leg win over Breidablik before being subbed off.
 
Annalise Rasmussen registered on the Juventus squad list for their UWCL knockout phase play-off first leg game against Wolfsburg and could well make her debut for them tomorrow.

Woulda been peak if Sharn Freier got recalled from loan to appear as well. Two of the best strikers in the A-League up against each other!

Not sure if there's a recall clause in Sharn Freier's loan contract and even if there was she wouldn't be playing altogether after sustaining an ACL injury which has effectively ruled her out for the entirety of season 2025-26.

Oh shit yeah I forgot about that. Though if we do an alternative history scenario here: what if she got recalled from loan before her ACL and never did it? Someone build a time machine!

The UWCL knockout phase play-off first leg game between Wolfsburg and Juventus is the only game with Matildas abroad today but going into the weekend we have a full slate of matches including Damallsvenskan sides back in action in Svenska Cupen games this week.

Not registered yet or is this another Sharn Freier to Wolfsburg waiting to happen (just minus the injury and delayed transfer)?
