Australian transfers 25-26 Winter

Ridiculous to loan Farrell back to Australia. They couldn't find a League 1 club or German 3rd tier? It's a wasted 6 months when there are fewer matches on offer and he's too familiar with the league.
I have to tend to disagree. Might not be the ideal choice of a loan at this current point in his career but I think it's far from a ridiculous choice.

Ultimately this move is 110% about guaranteed first team minutes and we've seen what can happen in the lower leagues of England eg Hollman with Walsall. He can't risk a situation even close to that so the surest bet for the outcome he is looking for is to return on loan to the A-league. Portsmouth clearly don't have a poor opinion about the league so there are no issues there.

It's likely Farrell's best bet in the hope to a return to fitness AND form in line of sight of Australian football and subsequently Popovic.

Go get em Jacob!

I guess being close to family will do him a world of good after his setbacks.

I just find these A League loans an odd comfortable way out but I don't think Farrell is being stuffed around by Portsmouth unlike many who've gone to Belgium clubs only to be sent back.

Talking about ridiculous moves...

Bilokapic has signed for Ipswich where he'll play as an overage player for their U21's. He was not registered to play for their first team in the league
Honestly... I guess he's hoping to sneak into a first team squad contract by proving himself.

Could've easily sorted a decent League 2 deal and been a mainstay at a club.

Was interested to see American John Tolkin for Kiel today. Over 100 games for NY Red Bull and now in Bundesliga 2. Pretty rudimentary sort of performance by himself and team and no higher than what a lot of A League prospects could do.

Brisbane Roar have brought in Norwegian international defender Marius Lode on loan from BK Hacken through season's end to bolster their backline. He brings European experience, having competed in all UEFA continental club competitions, and will join the squad immediately.
How does the Allsvenskan compare with the A-League do we think? The Damallsvenskan is obviously higher than the A-League Women (the Damallsvenskan is one of Europe's Big Six leagues), but does the Herrallsvenskan compare to the A-League Men?

Swedish teams have been pretty shit in European competitions this season but have had great moments before (e.g Djurgården reaching the Conference League semi-finals last season). And like Australia, Sweden exports all their best players to other European countries (especially to the Bundesliga and the Premier League; similarly in the women's Sweden has a lot of Frauen-Bundesliga players and has more WSL players this season than any other country except England itself). Sweden also has quite loud fans!

Bul Juach has been transferred from Heidelberg United to the Canadian Premier League, leaving the club after a remarkable season in NPL Victoria where he won the Golden Boot and Players' Player of the Year Award, having scored 31 goals in all competitions including 22 league goals, the second highest single-season tally ever by a Bergers player.

The question becomes why wasn't he picked up an ALM club?

The resemblance to Garang and Mabil is uncanny. The eyes and smile.

Is the CPL any good? Since Canada has MLS teams in the same way that New Zealand has A-League teams, is the CPL basically lower than A-League level like how the NZNL is NPL level?
