Australia has pledged to restore the graves of its war dead in Gaza after satellite imagery revealed parts of a Commonwealth cemetery containing Anzac burials had been bulldozed during Israeli military operations over the past two years.

More than 250 Australian servicemen are buried at the Gaza War Cemetery in Gaza City’s al-Tuffah district, most of them light horsemen killed during World War I.

Don't worry they can ALWAYS invest in foreign property or shares that still attracts a 50% CGT discount ... Much better to send money offshore, that will fix our housing crisis.

Why can't people realise that tax is being paid on profit? You've already made a tonne of cash compared to when you bought the asset. Sure some asset taxes should be reformed and fairer for the average saver but a shoebox bought in 1980 has made an astronomical profit.

Sorry?! Is investing in foreign property or shares keeping young Australians, and their kids, out of home ownership?

Anything that keeps people from speculating in an asset class that keeps people out of living under shelter is a good thing unless you think living in a car is ok.
