A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 15

Sweeping generalisation - most clubs don't lose supporters since most people don't switch clubs. They just stop going to games for whatever reasons.

There are still 20k+ 'fans' for most clubs in the aleague (as opposed to members or ever been members) and if the football is good, something they didn't like changes, or some other factor that stopped them going to games changes, they may simply choose to come to games.

End of school holidays may be enough in itself for crowds to be boosted. Back to school and work = need to relax or be distracted.

I think the spread of decent football across the league and the chance for most teams to be in the top 6 within a couple of good games is enough to produce crowd growth over the season.

Sydney derby has its own following of course.
well said... People that switch clubs should be hung drawn and quartered.

There were a couple of major tennis matches played on the. weekend but don't let that cloud your cynicism.
got to say don't think its cynicism but truth/fact - holidays still for some and people need an outlet when not much choice.
Enjoy the hiatus thats for sure.

Some superb football played by a young Jets team under Mark Milligan beating Roar decisively. They certainly play effectively in tight spaces in some of their attacking interplay.

Was surprised to see CCM beat Victory 1-0.

Interesting that Diles has dropped Socceroo, Villupillay, to the bench?

For Newcastle there’s a lot of good vibes here around the team. Young side with lots of locals playing great, entertaining football and on a winning streak. New ownership that’s mending a lot of old wounds in the community. A trophy already in the cabinet.

Add to that a nice day and a kids go free promo and the crowd shows up.
It was a good crowd of 12 000. Pleasing to see a regional AL club draw so many spectators.

It was a good game too.
