What do Sydney actually do for youth development apart from the girls in the squad?

I think we have an academy and we do a bunch of clinics for girls. But again no NPLW team.

I may be wrong but I think they select a few girls to train once a week at Sydney but the go back to their clubs. They (or any Sydney fans) shouldn’t be claiming to development them based on that.

Sydney FC doesn't have a reserve team at any level of the Football New South Wales pyramid which I think is detrimental for the club considering that Western Sydney Wanderers have an NPLW side and even Newcastle Jets have a reserve team in FNSW League One Women's for season 2026.
