The actual day we became an independent country was January the 1st.

And, even if you don't agree with changing the date, I'm assuming you're smart enough you can understand that some people would be pissed by using the 26th.

Brought a tear to the eye seeing the march for Australia rally, all the fat slobs and odd bods draped in Chinese made Australian flag merchandise, while ice heads made speeches while reading notes off their phone cause they have no attention span or intelligence, with their jaws clearly gurning from drug abuse. All while sinking low grade pre mix spirits. Was truly touching.

Not as thick as someone that thinks we should look to communist countries for guidance on freedom of expression.

Part of my love for this country is the right to freedom of expression and that means putting up with uncomfortable situations and acts that may be distasteful to me or you.

Look up Voltaire who had something quite prescient to say about free speech. You may learn something.

Burning the national flag is not a freedom of expression and it would get you gaoled in most countries around the world.

The flag is a symbol of the country and burning it shows utter contempt for the country.

every country suffers from these moron types and we/they move on thankfully - was acted on even though you never cover every single base - I agree POS.
National flags are hardly used at general games thats why you don't see them much if at all.
NT Roo/Tilly games you see flags thats for sure/face painting etcetc which is normal as anywhere else also.
Waving my/our flag at any time if so you'd be a small minded insecure mug if you felt lumped in or judged like those POS.
As far as I'm concerned their behaviour does not effect my feelings waving our flag.
