a coach that gives fans the finger at a home needs to go .

If a coach is bitching to another coach
about playing a midweek game needs to go

if a coach puts a player on the 74 min and 10 min later replaces him for making a mistake its all about the coach

If a player says to a coach u dont feel like playing it too hot

At the first end of the Auckland circuit series, team has done what was required. Two wins and a healthy goal difference. We still look rusty and the football is not free flowing, but we are still technically in preseason mode. NPL Victoria competition commences in a few weeks. Anyway, so far so good.

We now head to Port Moresby in PNG, where the team will face completely different weather conditions from Auckland. Hot weather and high humidity. That will impact performance. It may make sense for the squad to arrive on Thursday to help acclimatise to the tropical weather. The one positive is that two of our three matches will be played at 11.30am local time. As Sinisa said post match yesterday, he will need to rotate as much of the squad as possible to share the workload. That should give all players plenty of preparation for new NPL Victoria season.

We face South Island United, Bula FC, and Vanuatu United in PNG. Another 3 wins, would set us up nicely to aim for a top 2 finish. By the end of the second PNG circuit series, about 30% of the OFC Pro League season would have been played already.

Interesting to see which players get a run.

It wouldn’t surprise me if some of the younger members of the squad that didn’t get much match time in the first OFC hub circuit series feature in this friendly. That should include Lackay, Pope, Leech, Burchmore, Inglese, Coveny, Singh. It also important to give Looez some minutes to keep him ready for the start of the NPL Victoria competition in mid February.

Interesting game from start to finish. A few thoughts.

Eliopoulos did very well and justified all of our thoughts on allowing Tommy G to play as DM... (Tommy's goal was text book timing to break the offside trap, very pleased for hi, he deserved it, didnt do a foot wrong all day and slotted back into CB to allow for changes later in the match seamlessly. It was a weird game for us in the sense that Hakari was so poor (no disrespect) they just gave us the ball. I dont think they meant to they just couldn't hold onto it and were extremely unorganised in all 3 lines... We made more of a meal of it than we should. Some simpler passign would have elad to 2-3 more goals, Sisi set us up to attack from teh start and Yuki and Swibel looks like a really good partnership that will bring goals... Bonada caused chaos int ehir back line leaving room for the other tow.. Speaking of Yuki... my God, the kid is silky, what a player.... has the touch of a South American, they really are developing technically gifted payer sin japan... I wish we could send juniors over there for camps and such.

Overall solid, if not remarcable performance, we didnt really get out of second gear... could have been more than 5 but job done, on to the tricker conditions of PNG.. this tournament is more fun than I thought it would be.

The only thing that really annoyed me was the constant turn over out of the back line from Marco. I get that it was directed to play those releasing balls direct into midfield or the wings and the pitch was waterlogged but shit man, some of them were a little lazy.... Any other team would have punished us.

As for MOM very pleased for Bonada, both for the goal and the effort, he deserves it, works hard for the whole team , always at 100% just love the kid.... Yuki and Tommy a close 2nd and 3rd for me.
