CCM under APL control

TBH I thought from the beginning that Gosford was a strange place to put an A League club and nothing has changed my mind since. That said, I hope the club pulls through.
Let’s be honest that spot should have gone to Wollongong but they didn’t have the cash.

Gosford had a white elephant stadium sitting there doing nothing after the Northern Eagles failure and someone willing to pay the license fee. The benefit of not having any teams in a national competition based there was also a factor I’m sure.

yes Sutho we know it has been an outlet last 40yrs for western Sydney types moving to nice water area due to affordability but I have to say and to SOS it is a good spot - all central coast is.
Great people originally typical ol skool Aussie - hence Gosford and the pub back in the day was no diff to any local pub - piss heads at closing and fights outside who hasn’t been around that when growing up - same applied at Bondi Coogee for eg.
As mentioned Erina Fair turned Gosford into a ghost town - real shame for the foreshore is very nice to be around close proximity to the main stripe - they need to invest there, get cafes etc and it would grow as more and more people are moving up there.
Sure FS maybe Gong should have could have but if there’s one AL club I like it’s CCM and football with Newcastle having great football support way back in the day ccm has taken the hole in Gosford that should have been nrls way back if Singo had his way.

I hardly stop at Gosford but for Bunnings on the way to Bateau Bay - my neighbour there is a O35’s player and his boys trialed for ccm that was good to hear for it could have e been nrl talk.

That's what always gave me the shits. Even after being relatively successful in the early years - Mr Football and Foster always pined for Wollongong. They were given a spot but decided not to take it. Can't blame Kieran and Gorman for stepping in.

Like the Gold Coast where Victorians go to retire, the Central Coast is where the westies retire.
Only partially true.Lots of younger people from the Northern Beaches move here as not as expensive and still a beachside lifestyle.Erina Fair is where the main shops are situated so Gosford is no longer a shopping precinct but is a transport hub. Those new towers mentioned in the YouTube video are only about 3 minutes walk from the station so well placed for commuters.

As Sydney is usually 5-10 years behind London, we are a couple years away from Westies retiring to Dubai and making such a fuss about it.

What I've read QPR are still linked hope talks are going well. But if foreign clubs all owned a league teams it'll be a bit boring I guess that's where we're heading though

And there you have it ... so much for the anti Australian clubs like South Melbourne Hellas, Marconi, etc

And who owns the majority of the English premier league.

ccm ownership interview with damon hanlin on sbs Greek

its not clear why he wasn't given the liscence based on this

2 potential reasons.

1) Hasn't he had 'financial problems' recently?
2) The sellers are worried that he will basically turn it into a Greek club?

stopped by the 3min mark - couldn't be bothered with this bloke.
