Within the context of the status of our players in world football I haven't written Silvera yet... However his performances for the national team have been sub par. My mental note on him is that he is one that gets pushed off the ball against physical Asian opponents..... same boat as Boyle.

As for Miller if he doesn't shut down his side we are in trouble, doubt he will offer much the other way against quality.

Obviously I hope my assumptions are wrong.

The only poor game I have seen him (Silvera) have, though he hasn't played much, was with Hrustic in front of him. To my mind Hrustic is the luxury plater we can't afford. The upside is too small to play such a player that unbalances the side.

I can't think of one good performance over Sammy's 8 caps but I could definitely be wrong.

You see perceptively. Teague and Hrustic are useless despite the odd flourish from Hrustic.

Silvera also has been fairly anonymous for the Socceroos thus far but there's no doubt he's in career best form right now and well worth another look in the NT.
 
Silvera looked great against indonesia in a dour team performance (although he had a howler set piece at the end)
