Everything here to do with media, journalism, its demise, challenges and achievements.

I feel this is separate to the great podcast thread which provides lists and is slightly more on the entertainment side of things.
 
Disclaimer: This isn't to ridicule but rather to generate traffic to this new forum and perhaps a discussion on source reliability and potential ethics about reporting of our game will ensue.

So the last few hours has seen a stoush with Nicholas Lennon, known for breaking stories due to agent contacts etc.

A post about Taggart leaving Perth and it turns out it was all a fake email by a reddit user as an experiment.

Discussions across Sokkah Twitter about verifying before posting etc.

Lennon states since then that he has received information Taggart could be leaving Perth so the joke isn't on him.

yeah hard to tell without seeing the original email

I'm not too fussed to be honest, people hating on him need to take a chill pill.

Content apparently included Maty Ryan retiring from international football, Arzani leaving Victory, Taggart leaving and Maclaren leaving India. All a bit of a wind up.
 
Even if he is feeling he's in the right, there's a point you take ownership and don't keep feeding the seagulls.

In this case if he has evidence he hasnt been scammed it seems reasonable for him to make that evidence known tbh

I'd like Taggart to leave Perth. Always wanted him at Sydney FC. :P
 
Now the guy is doubling down and giving Vince Rugari permission to source check from Graham Arnold. The ego on this guy!
