English Premier League 🦁

Best goalless draw I've seen in a while. Up there with Australia- Colombia and Sweden T&T in 06.
Was a good one. We don't half fight for each other.

I thought we'd get beaten this week - City rolled us over 4 games ago with a full strength side, this time - 6 first team players out - we take them all the way. It's a good year to be a Sunderland supporter.

Premier League relegation zone could be pretty much locked in if Forest drop West Ham on Wednesday morning.

Wolves finally get their first win of the Premier League campaign for season 2025-26 twenty matchdays in, defeating West Ham 3-0 at home. They remain bottom of the ladder but the win means that every side has now won a game at least once this season.

Heard a few complaints about epl in England oh they are overpaid, not enough English in the squad the game isn't like the past. I guess any league can have complaints

It's true though. I really like the Premier League and the imports are some of the best but there are plenty who are terrible and local talent should get a go. They may not be better themselves but local heroes hardly exist now.

Old EPL was much more individual with dribbling and attack and now it's 35 passes in the final 3rd. It's a sanitised tourist product and that's why going to League 1 or 2 is a great day out.

Not completely wrong. Now teams just pass side to side and the other team sits in a block. There's no real individual skill or go for it mentality. The players have also gotten a bit softer and are ready to down tools at the first sign of things not going their way.

Look at Mainoo for example. Local lad, came through the academy, not willing to fight for the badge and his spot. TBF, it's not all him. Coaches have brought in this rigid style of play so it's an all round issue.

It's not that the imports are poor, it's that the tactical and technical standard is extremely high now - if a player makes a small mistake they are made to look like a donkey.

League One might be a great day out, but it's a horrible product to watch regularly - I say that after 4 years of the crap until fairly recently!

But mistakes make matches interesting

I actually didn't expect this given they were 5th and played alright from time to time.
Manchester United currently sixth on the ladder and have only won one game in their last five, and also there may have been some disagreements between Amorim and the higher-ups which eventually led to him getting his marching orders.

Interesting couple of days in the UK. I wonder who is getting the sack next? Can we expect it in the next few days? I feel like we are on a roll.

Amorim is the start of what needs to change. A few players need to go out too. In saying that, the ownership has to take responsibility, but obviously they wont.

We went all out for Ashworth, and when he didn't want Amorim, Ratcliffe chose Berrada over Ashworth. Now Ashworth is justified. Dumb decision to let go of Ashworth considering his record of success.

See some saying bring back Ole, they are just as dumb. Not sure who we get now. There are not many managers that get me excited to want them.

Ange is free, I believe!
Honestly, I would like him as a manager, but he would never be considered, and if he was, he'd be walking into a losing situation I reckon.

I think we are going to try and see who is available after the world cup.

Rosenior to Chelsea might be a bit early but perhaps that next gen fresh idea can work. Chelsea is a weird juggernaut though.
