But the thing is the owners are spending money, it’s just that the money being spent on the men’s squad isn’t being spent particularly well.

The problem is that players have gone to the young national teams. As did the Mariners guys. Maybe if all ALM teams were forced to release players to the NT then Adelaide may not have lost as many. This is a salary capped league with limited funds and Adelaide made their choice when they picked the squad. So be it. But an even playing field in relation to releasing players would help.

I love the a league but we need to hold clubs accountable if we want to see the league improve. They know the Asian under 23 league is coming maybe sign some defenders so they don't have to play teenagers like every other team has
