If you canā€™t trust someone not to get a yellow card with 10 minutes to go in the first half, then that player must have a serious discipline problem.

He's on a yellow after 14 min then the opponent get past him once or twice. They then start trying to razz him up. The coach saw the situation and reacted accordingly. The coach didn't see the need for taking the risk as did the fans.

It's not like Robertson is unprofessional to go and get another booking but Wycombe were clearly doing well in midfield. Robertson seems to have been played more defensively which isn't his typical role.

Fan comments were he seemed one indicident away from a second yellow. Reports were as soon as the early card happened Wycombe were double covering him and arguing every little thing. Go through match lists every weekend. Players get subbed early all the time for being on yellows and tactical decisions. It's a massive campaign and it simply wasn't the day to keep him on. Next game in 2 days.

Usually we select a massive squad and whittle it down by the world cup to the final 26

He is good enough for the massive squad, then its a matter of trying to make the final squad

He's better than most on one leg. The reason he's in League One is because Cardiff went down, he had an injury and the contract isn't to be broken just yet. Moving too often can also unsettle. If we recall what he showed in The Championship it's already better than what Segecic has done so far so he's got a solid track record.

He was first choice in the championship as a u22, compared to balard as a u25 and oniell who broke through as a u26 in similar qualoty leagues. So he is definitely on track to improve the cm positions for us

I haven't seen a second of the game so I am theorising here but there is also the overlooked fact that the manager very well could have been protecting Robbo from any further provoking tackles flying in. So far unfortunately he has been partly made of glass so there's that which may have been in decision making.

Completely agree though it's a non-event that happens in leagues all over every weekend, and I'm sure he will be back in the best few on the park in no time.

Interestingly while Sassuolo have scored more goals than Parma, they've also conceded more. I think this just goes to show how good Alessandro is.

Recoba running into elbows was a real flaw. The circumstances in that game are the highest example of having to pull the plug on something and Guus reacted accordingly. I have a feeling he may have been planning a first half sub for Kewell and I think I heard something about it in interviews. Popovic certainly forced the hand.

Yeah we need to be fair and I love gauci but he got given a few preseason games at Villa and now his lost his spot at Port it's up to him to make his career
 
By the 2030 World Cup we will transition to Gauci, Hall, Beach and Dylan Periac-Cullen (unless others appear). Ryan will retire from the national team after the 2027 Asian Cup when he will be 34. Izzo won't make 2030 when he would be 35 so probably should also retire after the 2027 Asian Cup.

In order of potential - not current ability, I would rate them as Dylan Peraić-Cullen, Steven Hall, Joe Gauci then Patrick Beach. Others might appear but so far the rest are well behind where I see these going. In fact, at the moment, the gap after Ryan and Izzo means we have to go to these four and even after them it looks bleak. TBH - potentially all four will be better than Izzo and a couple will push Ryan's best - probably DPC and Hall.

I'd agree with that order though I wonder if Beach has more potential than Gauci. Really hope DPC can get a lone for the 2nd half of the season I see him as having a high ceiling in an era where GK looks a real problem
