A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 10

Can barely keep up with all the AL games on ATM.

Good win for Vic over Nix by winning 4-1.

Can't believe Perth beat City 3-0 in Melbourne?

Perth have a good squad griff has them cooking. While we've probably been a bit lucky and it's running out
I think I heard that City has had the second highest number of passes in the league. This is no fluke.

I've watched most City games in the AL and the ACL. I feel like City has had quite good control in most AL games, and may have had a bit of luck in the ACL in the latter games.

City's youth have really stepped up with the injured seniors.

Mv are a different side with Nish back.

Hopefully he stays injury free
He does a lot off the ball - winning hard balls, tracking back to keep the defensive shape compact, effective closing down of opposition space, good workrate.

Nish V works hard off the ball in Vic possession by opening viable passing lanes and creating dummy runs.

There is a lot of possession that achieves only stat. I think that the problem is the midfield - Schreiber has plateaued and is not creative enough.

Barmy army has shown how easy it is to make noise. No tifos no cringe chants and no flares just 200 people making noise
Good on them. FWIW Hannover games that have an ultras boycott and then no alcohol served due to the high risk opponent are absolutely terrible. Ridiculous that no one is chanting or making noise because they're sober. Hannover home end is full is pissheads.

I'm impressed with Schreiber. Maybe he hasn't progressed as much as we would like this season, but he is a good player for one so young.

Remember that a player's options to pass forwards depend on the off the ball movement of their teammates. Players need to work hard to support the ball carrier in opening optimum passing lanes, before the ball carrier receives the ball.

If City is in a lot of possession only in their defensive half, with their opponents playing Half Presses and Partial Presses, then it is sterile domination ( Arsene Wenger's term).

If City are advancing into the opposition half/third and still maintaining possession it is problematic for the opponents. I don't have access to City's territorial data over this season though.

If u are a coach getting sent off for backchat, do u secretly hope your team does worse so u dont feel useless

If you are sent off as manager why was Valkanis in the dressing room addressing the players at half-time?

I heard Matt Simons may have been having verbals and maybe more with Valkanis in the tunnel.
