Not sure about going for Damian Tsekenis because his goalscoring form is alright but discipline seems to be problematic with five yellow cards and one red card for him in all competitions this past season.

If you had said Scott or Maschiovecchio id say ok but diffcult.... Surely there has to be better out there even in the lower leagues than bloody Tsekenis... He is not a striker for South!

Its very difficult for us because anyone that performs in a South shirt is going to get snapped up. If Bul Juach scored 30 goals for South would we still have him? No chance. Unfortunately players that do well for us are looked at far more closely than elsewhere.

But also an incentive for those that want to step up and beyond to be drawn to us and perform! With transfer fees in place we couldve been the healthiest clubs in oz via sell ons!

Jake Marshall and Andy Brennan have both been delisted by South Melbourne ahead of NPL season 2026, with Marshall returning to Queensland with family after 186 appearances for the club where he scored seven goals, and Brennan leaving after 143 appearances across multiple stints for South, where he scored 22 goals.

I think we can safely assume that players like Spink, Halfpenny, Durso, and Skapoulas will be solely focused on the NPL Victoria competition. Does the omission of Habibi mean that he will solely focus on the NPL Victoria competition? Or is he looking for a new club?

Khaddour was hardly here, but still would like to have retained him. He could have been handy.

Luka Coveny is an interesting option. Might develop into a handy option to provide coverage when we have a clash with NPL Victoria fixtures.

Apart from the known departures of Lavale, Marshall and Aguek, we have mostly retained the squad.

As for the new strikers, not much is known about them. Swibel has played overseas, and was part of Marconi's Australian Championship squad.

Swibel scored 15 goals for Marconi in 2023 before going overseas. Did play in the championship, cant see the other new players making much of an impact.

We've retained our midfield which is crucial but our 3 key departures sting a lot.

Agree fully.. khaddour didnt seem like he stuck tbf, habib would be interesting as to why but had doubts he was more than off the bench player? imo shouldve atleast brought in other Jankovic perhaps.
