It's a discussion about quality and quantity.

Not a lot of good Aussie comedy, the kids just aren't funny these days. But the Working Dog guys and the old Fast Forward/Full Frontal were tops. Not quantity, but the rare comedy like the WD guys is quality.

The yanks churn out never-ending garbage that they'll eventually stumble upon something worthwhile. Quantity over quality. Even one of their self proclaimed best comedies is British, The Office. Who's Line, was British.

British/Irish is the best of both, quality and quality. Dominated by English comedy, but there's a bunch of Scottish, Irish, even Welsh comedies that are gold, genuine and with heart.

The Scottish cops are great, then the main guy had his own spinoff show which was brilliant!

I once went and saw a German comedian at a comedy club in London.

He did this whole gig in a heavily German accented English and every joke he did was absolutely crap....

But the crowd was in tears with laughter. It was one of the funniest comedy shoes I've ever been too.

Spike Milligan, he of the Goons and Monty Python.and one of Britain and Ireland's most loved comedians once said "German comedy is no laughing matter...." but this guy was fucken hilarious by being unfunny. It was brilliant!!


It was the ambiguity and word play....

Sorry mate most of this is dross.
Of late times Seinfield smart witty was the best in years imo and early South Park the rest meh typical merican try hards.

Though the Poms Scot’s etc beat em hands down.

After the last episode before the new season where he was "rallying" on his holiday I was really looking forward to the new season. Was disappointed to be honest with the new ones. That whole Satan schtick was pretty dull to be honest.
