Sign Up Now!Most of the films on the list you'd expect to be on there I think, I've only seen a couple of them but out of those ones I mostly agree with the list.

Read Homer's Odyssey and then watch O' Brother again ..... its a clever film...."More than 500 influential directors, actors and other notable names in Hollywood and around the world voted on the best films released since Jan. 1, 2000".
As you say LFC, finding 100 "top" films released since 2000 is a stretch when you know how hard it is to name the best 100 films of all time - as a friend of mine has been trying to do for 20 odd years.
It is like the names of the 7 dwarves in Snow White - my theory is that it is impossible for the human mind to remember all 7 names. Sure, you can write them down and get all 7 but when you try and list them off the top of your head there is always one random bugger that eludes you. Same as the "top 100 films" of any period. As soon as you talk to someone else or read their list of top films you are reminded of another film you left off your own list.
At least this one must have started from a list of every film released since 1/1/2000 - but I have not seen so many of them the list is completely wasted on me.
I did hate "O Brother, Where Art Thou" when I watched it though.
My gut feel is some of the top 100 only needed one vote to make the list when it came down to it.
"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight."yer its not easy to cover this being 21st century and 100 of them !.
Not sure I agree with many tbh let alone haven't seen or heard of some also.
There sure is some that were to my liking like
Inglorious Bastards !
No Country For Old Men - what a performance by Javier.
Crounching Tiger was brilliant.
Glad to see The Dark Knight @ 28 just to name a few.
Arse - another classic to add to my reading list damn you.Read Homer's Odyssey and then watch O' Brother again ..... its a clever film....![]()
I've seen Oppenheimer and Spirited Away along with some others. Don't know why Black Panther only makes the list at number 96 though as I thought it was one of the better MCU movies out there. Have only seen a bit of Mad Max: Fury Road but I've seen the original Mad Max trilogy and Furiosa.yer its not easy to cover this being 21st century and 100 of them !.

yep all very difficult and no matter who does these surveys no matter the subject you'll always go eh ? you serious on many but I suppose thats part of the debate."More than 500 influential directors, actors and other notable names in Hollywood and around the world voted on the best films released since Jan. 1, 2000".

Exactly and I got a bad enough memory as my wife says as well ffs.It is like the names of the 7 dwarves in Snow White - my theory is that it is impossible for the human mind to remember all 7 names. Having grown up with Adam West portraying Batman its been close to my heart and got to say luved seeing the massive resurgence of the Bat say what 20+yrs back."Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So, we'll hunt him, because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight."
I love the feeling they create at the end of The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
On the flipside. I watched Gladiator 2 the other night for the first time after waiting an eternity for it and I found it completely devoid of feeling. Disappointing when that happens - even if a story and script does not do it for you the application of music should be able to get at least some feeling from important moments.
It is funny how highly we can think of a film that was crap all the way through but has that emotion filled ending that we take away from it. Easy to steal a few points on the ladder ratings with a good ending.
Christopher Nolan is making a film about that.Homer's Odyssey
It would have been a challenge before CGI.Christopher Nolan is making a film about that.
Adam Sandler rightly copped alot of shit for 20 years of vacuous films ( Happy Gilmore excepted ) then he comes out with this masterpiece of serious acting. Incredible.Uncut Gems - brilliant film![]()
Incredible and he absolutely nailed the role in a pretty unique film. And apparently what happened was the directors were looking at Sacha Baron Cohen for for the role because they thought Adam Sandler wouldnt do it. They reckoned Sandlers agents kept knocking them back.Adam Sandler rightly copped alot of shit for 20 years of vacuous films ( Happy Gilmore excepted ) then he comes out with this masterpiece of serious acting. Filming was 5 min drive from my fathers villageChristopher Nolan is making a film about that.
