Sign Up Now!Not as dear as some places.Well it didn't take long for the wheels to fall off, normal service has been resumed. Our defence is very poor, has been for a long time. The fullbacks push forward and get caught out every time. I thought Milligan was going to fix that, obviously not. Went to the game for the first time for years, nearly died when I went to get a beer, $10.70 for a plastic cup of beer! Is that normal for stadiums these days. Anyway it wasn't a happy day out in more ways than one.

From memory a can of Super Dry at the Aus Cup final was $12.In some stadiums, beers are over $12
Lachie Rose is 26?Bit of shuffling because of injuries, Adams would probably have started up front, but he's injured too, and Rosey is too old for a full game. Don't think it suited Badolato at all
It is the bloody Ange principle - except you even got your Cup in the first season. There was a sense of optimism at the start of the year, with the Cup result and style of play. That has all but evaporated now amongst the Jets faithful. With the worst defence in the league and sitting in 10th position, we're back to where we were 12 months ago. We'll probably still get the 5-6 thousand rusted on fans to each game but the satellite fans will stay away in droves. I don't know what the reason is for the poor form but they need to stop the rot very soon or start preparing for next year. Already.
To be fair I am the only one offering excuses - and I suspect I am not actually a Jets fan.cheeez, a bloke @ just 26yrs being questioned does he have enough in the tank in a comp that covers a challenging 38 + games a season, ooops thats elsewhere.
The loonnnnng off season must be draining for our Pros, pre season Cup games so punishing,
Man soft is soft outlook from the grandstands.
Come on seriously.
Fitness shouldn't be an issue any more than it is at the other clubs.Do you think Milligan might have pushed the team too hard in pre-season and they are feeling the hard running weariness now?
I think that the fatigue comes from the lack of a long season. if there were 20 teams, then the players would adapt more readily and perhaps not suffer so many soft tissue injuries when they go overseas. As an aside the AFL has the same problem which is why they introduced the mid-season bye.RIMB, I was going to say I'm not having a lend of you by the way - though I do re iterate the pre and post competition sure isn't a marathon.
Though I don't think excuse's should apply at this level and worse by a opposing fan
Sure every players input varies therefore this comes down to the coach and his staff how to get the best out of X right ?
When/where do I get the max out X player and has he the durability (lords know how you fatigue with so little games).
Correct maybe better use as sub 60min onwards.
IF they haven't figured that out soon enough they are not doing justice to their jobs.
IF the coach's staff haven't worked out and advised X player how to use his energy/effort smart well the other factor is a donkey is a donkey![]()
