What nobody mentions is a few years ago he was killing it in Korea. He moves to Japan where he didn't capture that form then to Australia where's his considered a gun player.

Question should he of gone back to Korea after Japan? Should he still be in the a league?

Just think his some what underrated as nobody really mentions him on here

Taggart can score goals but is not good at pressing like Duke.He did get occasionally picked by Arnie but more as a late sub.He could still score against weaker Asian teams but at this stage of the qualifying cycle he is probably out of contention though with Popa you never know

His injury was art of the turning point of the 2022 qualifying campaign. He, Boyle and Mabil were a great 3 link. Souttar's injury also didn't help. Had he hit the inside of the post against Japan....

He got injured more in Japan and it's a higher level than South Korea.

He's definitely good enough.

He deserves better than to play with some of the shite football he's been getting at PG ATM.

Too lazy for NT for me. Trots around on his heels. Not enough anticipation and misses moments because of this. What is it with our players being on their heels? Brosque was the same when he played in the NT

We should be picking on target man height, or speed and link up abilities, since none of our strikers are world class.

It's why I keep an eye on Tete Yengi, not keen on other options, just my humble opinion.

Luckily Kusini Yengi is scoring cos he ain't doing to much else.

Your spot on mate a very lazy player everything has to go his way or he walks around with his head between his legs and does nothing. He should never make the Socceroos not good enough in my opinion

Taggart is another player who never developed as hoped. McGree and Hrustic are the current versions. There's such a long list - Jacob Burns, James Troisi, Bruce Djite, Nathan Burns, Corey Gameiro. So promising early but not able to take the next step.

Hopefully Irankunda breaks the mould. When I saw him break through at Adelaide at 18, I thought McGree would, but he'd be playing in a top 5 league by now if it was going to happen. It's brutal world, pro football and at the second tier, McGree and Hrustic are making good livings. I would not wish to disparage their achievements in any way.

Taggart is an excellent finisher at A league level.

Not sure why he hasn't had more success with the Socceroos? Has he played much against some of the weaker Asian national teams?

He seems to struggle to create space and shake his marker the next level up?
