Football on Christmas/boxing day

Nbl have two matches tonight.

Are the a league missing out not scheduling any games or is Christmas time not the right time to play sport

Boxing Day would be OK with me but not likely to have good crowd figures though Paramount might do OK.

We should have matches ALL nights during these holidays.

I'm actually surprised how many APL staff are on holidays right now. The NBL, cricket and baseball doesn't stop, neither do we, so how come APL staff shut down for a couple of weeks?? It's probably the peak period outside of finals.

NBL were listed in the top rating shows last night (which is rare for the league), so Christmas Day games are a big win for them.

If Victory played on Xmas night i would 100% go. Boxing day less likely as I am usually out of town

It's tricky as a lot of the casuals will be with family or watching cricket or enjoying the sun.

Love Boxing day football in England. Germans spit out their mulled wine when you say it should happen there. Christmas is inviolable.

I reckon a good fest from the 27th through to NYE with the annuals Mariners home game can be a tad niche.

Means the players have to train on Christmas Day if they're playing on Boxing Day. I'll never be in favour of such things.
