Portland Timbers just gave their head coach Phil Neville the sack so if Ange wants to try his hand at coaching in the MLS he could very well do so.

In recent years there has been Biesla with Leeds, Maresca with Leicester, Kompany at Burnley, that German bloke that I can't remember his name with Norwich - the grind is the fact there are so many games and so many competitive teams right the way through the table.

I can admit I have obvious bias but I don't think anyone can say that Ange's football won't work in a particular league. At the end of the day the game is played with a ball and two goals no matter which division you're in.

Although Ange has shown adaptability across leagues (Australia → Japan → Scotland → England) and won titles almost everywhere he's gone. So, he could do it but the question is whether he'd want to do it....

I like Big Ange as a person and certainly rate his footballing idealiasm. But I just don't see him as a second tier manager at this point of his career....

And I don't think he would see himself as one either.

Totally agree....

Japan is an ideal next destination for Ange. He thrived at Yokohama F. Marinos, winning the 2019 J1 League with his high-intensity style. Familiar culture, technical football environment, and lower pressure make it perfect for rebuilding confidence after turbulent Spurs and Forest spells. A natural homecoming for the Big Fella!!!
