Adelaide United thread

It sure does, the young kids seem to love it...Just make me laugh they don't even try and hide how much "for sale" they are... its like football onlyfans....
If Adelaide said to promote them on their video isn't that just normal advertising? Like no different for menulog getting snoop dog?

Ofcourse it is... Not sure why you are getting upset ? These guys are getting paid to go out and do these little marketing puff pieces, and good luck to them.
I just laugh at how the can so earnestly declare each and every new ground "the greatest ground in Australia" or the "greatest match day experience" or whatever.. There is not even a tiny pretence of pretending to be evaluating anything its just a little over the top.

Heracles Almelo and Adelaide United have translated their previously expressed intention to work together into a definitive agreement. General manager Rob Toussaint of Heracles Almelo and Cor Adriaanse, the Dutch owner of the Australian club, recently signed the contract. After Ernest Faber took over as director of football affairs at Adelaide United in May 2024, one of his tasks was to identify which European professional clubs are interesting as a springboard for Australian talents towards a further career in Europe. He regularly noticed Heracles Almelo, which has a proven track record as a development club for young players. After Heracles Almelo approached Ernest Faber last month to become the new head coach, the collaboration became a substantial part of the discussions with Adelaide United. “The intention is for Heracles Almelo to become the gateway to Europe for Adelaide United,” explains Rob Toussaint. "There are many talents in Australia with European roots who dream of a career in Europe. They need development at a certain level in order to take the next step as a professional footballer. Jordan Bos is a good example. A young boy from Australia who first needed two seasons at the Belgian Westerlo before he could make the switch to Feyenoord. There are a number of interesting players in Adelaide and the surrounding area and for them Heracles Almelo is now a tangible stage for further development." Toussaint does not rule out that the collaboration will have a concrete follow-up in the January transfer window. “But that is ultimately up to our football technical people.” According to the general manager of Heracles Almelo, the agreement with the number 5 of the A-League is a win-win situation. "If a player from Adelaide United transfers to Heracles, we naturally have the pleasure of seeing the immediate performance of that boy. If we can develop him further and sell him over time
