NPB in full swing along with Major League Baseball, with both leagues having played between fourteen and nineteen games through today but bearing in mind that there are currently five NPB games underway.

New Era 1 (2010-2016): Six team league and centrally owned. Deemed unsustainable.

New Era 2 (2016-18): Transition to Private Ownership.

New Era 3 (2018-2023): Private ownership. 8 team league. Deemed unsustainable.

New Era 4 (2023-2025): Private ownership. 6 team league. Teams pull out because they either can’t pay their bills or they see it as unsustainable.

New Era 5 (2025-2027): Private ownership. 4 team league. Seemed unsustainable.

New Era 6: See point 1.

Can’t wait for New Era 7.

What a roller coaster.

PS - Centrally owned model I think makes a lot of sense. I wonder who the financial backers are. There has to be someone else. Overall, positive news.
