Wild that Morocco are hosting this gain. Third time in a row. Didn't even change the logo from last time. They've unlocked the key to constant qualification.

It’s pretty ridiculous that they get to host it again. They literally hosted it last year. I know Africa probably doesn’t have the best facilities but surely they could give it to someone else.

As hosts and being a fairly strong side by CAF standards, they not only have a good chance of making the World Cup (since the four quarter-final winners go through) but they could very well win the whole thing. They came very close last time against Nigeria (being 2–0 up only to choke and lose 3–2). Nigeria are also obviously a strong side though, I mean they one conceded three goals at the last WAFCON (two in the final and one against Banyana Banyana/South Africa in the semis), plus they do have 10 titles for a reason.
 
TBF, there's probably not that many nations capable of hosting major tournaments. But this begs the bigger question. Where is all the money that Infantino promised? CAF keeps voting for him for the promise of investment, but I don't see any of it.

Even when Zim was barred by FIFA, they offered barely any help and support.

The money likely goes to the suits, who I’d say keep it unfortunately. Corruption is unfortunately a massive problem in Africa.

Another thing to note is that Jorge Vilda (Spain’s controversial coach who oversaw the 2023 World Cup-winning side that became subject to Kissgate) coaches Morocco. Player welfare clearly isn’t a big deal in CAF.

I'm well aware of African corruption. It's so sad though, because they could genuinely have amazing infrastructure and world beating teams.

The Vilda thing was annoying because it happened somewhat soon after the whole saga, and it was just like, "how tone deaf are you". I guess the desire to win was more than the weight of morals
