I am expecting (hoping) us to spark back into life this week and to play fast, unchained football for lengthy periods.

Hmmm - Klein out due to concussion protocol and Stajic out for an extended period due to his hamstring injury.

Maybe this won't be the game we shake of our shackles.
 
Will be happy to proven wrong. Macarthur are a pretty dull team tbh, I don’t see this game reaching any great heights either. I’d probably expect more from us in terms of breaking said shackles against the Mariners on NYE.

Sadly, that looks about right. We may well be heading for the lowest ever crowd average at this rate.

Melb derby will be between 18-20k. Its the only game that has the slightest bit of interest in Melbourne these days.

Glory i have 6k. Jets 7k, rest look about right.

I was thinking the same. For once I thought NoMates might be bang on with the 12k estimate.
I don't know anyone going to this game. Even the mates I have that are MC members aren't going.
Everyone is too busy. Weekend before Xmas is not the smartest choice for this fixture.
I reckon they should have it on Boxing day. They would pick up some extra ticket sales from the cricket crowd. Same as they do when the AO is on.

I find that amusing, as the Christmas/ new year fixtures were always the most keenly sought after fixtures of the season in the UK.
 
Not really sure, but it has been like that since the war ended , and also people off work at that time. They used to play on December 31st and January 1st, two games in two days. That stopped in 1972 though.
