NPL 2026

Do they have much of a supporter base?

Not really, but they are nice welcoming and accommodating club.

never had any issues at sutho and i do go there every time we play them away.

What money can do to a club, they've done fuck all last 10 years.

more than 10, we've all known they could be so much more having such huge Jnr regos and all just never happenned.
Great to see what they will bring to the table from here on.

Take it easy mate! Yeah, we have seen over the years all the favouritism shown to the biggest greek club in the country!
NO logical supporter has an issue with the deduction of points when flares are thrown at players except perhaps a few like you (who from memory was one of those trying to justify it at the time!)... As for Dandy they get to drop it on appeal like others did, to a more sensible deduction or just fine so perhaps wait for that result before spouting that crap!
Hellenic, its the favouritism that urrks me...it shouldn't be points...it should be fines.

As a neutral supporter and a lover of the game...you only have read between the lines that the Preston Lions is not exactly a federation favourite...to be deducted 6 points and dealt a fixture which monetarily affects them (only 5 home games as opposed to 9 last season on a Friday night) is a kick in the guts.

Furthermore, the Federation should be looking at stamping out the individuals that harm the game...not the clubs...bit like the Horda what they did at the South Preston FA Cup game!! it takes a few individuals that ruin it for everyone!!!

Good on em if they do, one of the rare examples of a club in this country pre dating the post ww2 migration boom. Coming up on 100 years old I believe. Moreland city is another off the top of my head, Adamstown rosebud in Newcastle too
Newcastle has a heap, in the top two divisions alone you’ve got:

Wallsend - 1887
Adamstown - 1889
West Wallsend - 1891
Edgeworth - 1892
Weston Bears - 1907
Cessnock - 1907
Lake Macquarie City - 1912
Toronto Awaba - 1922

Yea Newcastle quite unique in that regard

As i also said... yes it should be fines, my only argument was that its hard not to differentiate between the incidents, nothing against preston as a club, but they paying for those morons that aimed the flare at other people hence lays the problem, and you cant fine one that throws it at someone the same as one that doesnt and is more an atmosphere aesthetics things (dandy) is all im saying.. Dandy should of only been fined also imo points is a crock of shit in that instance.
My ideal wouldve been fine first instance, and on report if there is future incident at which point you close doors for a match or 2! Like the world over..

they have a reputatiom thats for sure, but SMFC isnt either was the point. We can easily attest to the biases of FV.

I agree we should be looking to strengthen NPL Vic which is the best in the nation not looking to ruin it, but that FV as i said we have a long history of disputes with them to reference.

Here we agree fully!

27-year-old French man Dan Elkayam has been confirmed as one of the 16 victims of the tragedy, with his former club Rockdale Ilinden Football Club paying tribute on Facebook, while Arncliffe Aurora Football Club, who he was due to join in 2026, also expressed their condolences.

Elkayam had lived in Australia since 2024, worked in IT and was at the Jewish communal event in Bondi to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah.

He had also recently played for Rockdale Ilinden Football Club in New South Wales’ National Premier League.

“It is with extreme shock and sadness to discover our Premier League 1 player – Dan Elkayam – was a victim of the horrendous, tragic and senseless events at Bondi Beach on Sunday 14th Dec 2025,” the club posted on Facebook.

“Dan was an integral member of our PL1 Squad in 2025 – who was an extremely talented and popular figure amongst team mates. Our deepest and sincerest condolences to Dan’s family, friends and all that knew him. He will be missed. May he Rest in Peace – Memory be Eternal.”

Rhett De Silva, Andrej Poljcic and Vlado Suput all move from Bankstown City to Bonnyrigg.
Asmir Kadric is also back at Bonnyrigg
