They added padding to the Parthenon style wooden structure the bergers have had there for how many years now so it doesnt look like an eyesore, and shifted the all new bunnings tent onto the grass area, which after all that rain wouldve resembled a blow up pool kids pool hahahaha

To be fair he did say he wasn’t gonna bring it up, the interviewer asked him.

But yes they do whinge a lot, him and peter papoythis. They genuinely seem to have convinced themselves that there’s an anti Marconi conspiracy and everyone’s against them. They seem to have tried to use it to foster an us against them siege mentality in the change room. It’s just not reality. You heard a few times little references to “everyone keeps writing us off” in media..who is? You should have heard the way the bench was going on at the APIA v Marconi Italian derby A few weeks back

Tsekenis isnt Marconi thats for sure! That badge was not built on whinging, Marconi historically was just as feared away as it was at home! Thats the benchmark the club should strive for again for me, not this underdog bs! That i can understand from a Moreton etc, WE (of old) have different expectations as you can attest to im sure!

yep, I’m inclined to agree, he’s shown he’s capable of getting results, but imo Marconi should also be striving to win a certain way. I’m not a fan of the dirty tactics or the ugly football personally, Marconi has always been known to play well, that’s what I admire about the way APIA play. Playing good football should be just as important as results for Marconi imo. I get that the club was at its lowest ebb when they brought him in and they felt he was the man to instil some grit and fight, and it’s hard to show someone the door when they’ve had some success to their name. Even this, he’ll be able to point to npl champions last year, aus championship finalists, Waratah cup winners a few years back etc
 
I would say that Tsekenis probably doesnt fit the Marconi DNA, bit like us with Esteban. I thought he was measured in his post game interview, no issue there. I feel like he had a defeatist attitude pre game, robbing South of the grand final etc. Proper Marconi goes out and tries to win grand finals not pinch them. That performance was like ours in our grand final losses, we had the same loser mentality going into them from our ex coach and rightly got punished.

Yea I don’t know why they didn’t wear the red socks, that’s how the kit was supposed to be. They did the same thing in the npl grand final last year too. I like the tricolore kit too, I just think the azzurri one is one of the nicest kids Marconi has had in the last 20 years. I like the addition of the 4 starts to the badge too, looks good
