Anyway, sugars, RNA, DNA and amino acids found on an asteroid. That's pretty much settles the argument of where the ingredients for life came from on earth.

The bigger question now is where or how did those ingredients get going.
 
Any chance the asteroid was thrown from the earth in the dinosaur killer meteor collision? Perhaps when the moon was carved out (if that happened).

The force would have been there to break the atmosphere and the dust that pre-dates our solar system could simply be floating in space and collected by gravity.
