I think Japan have proven themselves to be a solid chance of reaching the Round of 16 in a 32 team world cup, so should be fine to make the knockouts. From there who they draw will be important.

I haven't paid much attention to Norway. Lack of tournament experience would be a big question mark but having topped a Euro WC Group they would be expecting to make the Round of 32 and hopeful of giving the higher ranked teams a strong challenge.

mostly hinges on Haaland mind you - 55goals from 48caps !
His partner Sorloth isn't half bad as well.
Kudos them making it - their quali grp was pretty soft considering their front firepower - bolter going deep depends on their Grp.
Jap obviously expected to go further this Cup - never know your luck - injuiries to key players, those games that you dominate but can't finish.
Is it their time ? will be great viewing.

Haaland might have a lot of international goals - but depends who they get. Of his 55 goals, he's scored 21 against nations that will either be at, or are in the playoffs for, the World Cup (take the playoff nations out, and that goes down to 4 goals).
 
Yes true NCB but let’s give the credit he deserves Plus Norway prob would have struggled getting past most of them in the first place.
He’s a gun any NT would cherish.
He’s backing up the form and many EPL records he’s set, some regular scorers don’t.
Whoever they get and could be the group of death he will put the fear into any defense and if they get any decent ball to him you’d consider it will be 50/50 he could score unlike our situation for eg. Getting chances and conversion ratio.

You don't need an open gate - you just need a nuanced visa system and good background checks. TBH this is likely to significantly hurt the US bid for 2038.
 
Nothing is perfect as such pj.
In this modern day packs of loonies I don’t blame any country protecting itself especially a target as likely as USA with a big event as such.
Can’t please them all - it sucks but don’t blame them no matter what gov is in might I add.

Wow it's almost as if any functioning country will ask you if you've ever been convicted of an offence. The better the country you come from, the easier the stuff is shared and flagged. Unless your from Germany, they have no bloody idea what's going on now and don't pass on paper files on blokes who've already got 48 offences.
