yeah even robbie slater, and I don't recall ever agreeing with an opinion of his, he brings the passion

Yep agreed there as well.
Many of the young gen don’t like the ol skool types - he never bothered me as well - sure who doesn’t say stupid things but again he brought passion.
I don’t like how they had to be so gagged for they could make it far more interesting to listen to.

Yep, Lowy wanted a 2nd division, PFA blocked it. The "APL" in the quote below is the "Australian Premier League", the working title of the new league before "A-League".

It is believed the Lowy board is open to suggestions on two key areas that diverge from the original APL proposal prepared by the player's union, the Professional Footballers' Association.

The PFA opposed both a move back to a winter season and the introduction of a second division, with promotion and relegation between the two divisions. Sources suggest both issues will be given serious consideration by the task force.

It's funny reading that 2009 article as well, Lowy still wants a 2nd division and Tasmania and Canberra. Oh, what could've been. I'd love to know what changed between then and 2014 when the licences were extended 20 years!

To be honest its a real problem

On kossie and dom uncensored they blocked a league clubs sending players more often to schools to market the a league. Blocked the dts and abolishing the cap. At this stage in for the pfa getting scrapped if these allegations are true

Another article on lowry pushing for an nst and p and r...what might have been...might still be to be fair

He was just blurting out re herrings to appease the media getting that ray of hope to the many of us pissed what became.
