Bias of the a-league

I'm kind of torn on this one. I think that these two NZ clubs do add something to the A League but then you have clubs like South Melbourne and Marconi who most people would agree should have been in the competition since day 1 but have been completely ignored by the powers to be.....

If I was a fan of South Melbourne or maybe Marconi I'd be spewing at seeing NZ clubs in an Australian top.tier league while my club was ignored.

Most would have cared 10 years ago, now my only beef with Wellington (he he) is that they were sore losers in the Aus Cup and didn't stick around for a feed in our social club after we beat them... :P

I like the idea of Bendigo, Ballarat, Coff’s H, Darwin teams too. Many of these towns have no pro cricket, basketball, league, Aussie Rules, league or union teams to compete with either.

We don’t have many Aussies playing in the Kiwi teams either.

I’ve said it before that Western United were not based in Geelong. Tarneit is about 60-70km from Geelong.

I can't remember if Melbourne City players and staff stuck around after our Round of 32 match a few years ago.... it was 2021 though so probably a covid thing...
