Wallabies thread

england still dont hit hard enough when taking the line on but their line speed in defense has improved. So it still feels like an above average nrl game rather than a step up

Modern rugby has great officiating in their no nonsense approach. Meanwhile they're really keen to pin players when they want. I don't get how the ref can decide to pin someone for holding right away while allowing tonnes of time for a release in another ruck.

Harry Potter with an intercept try. 90 metres. Massive issue with rugby is if he knocks that on it's a sin bin. An absolute joke of a rule.

Wallabies ridiculous in their approach. The team looks a bit experimental today.

I heard rugby participation rates have eroded to really low numbers over the last couple of decades. No surprise we have declined

I have a lot of trouble enjoying the sport personally

No bloody idea what the ref was blowing again today. One minute and immediate penalty for not releasing them other times allowing a push to get the trapped ball.

I just hate rugby ref inconsistency and it's the South African and French who want to ruin a good game.

Yeah it's just so down and they recruit Pacific Islanders for their size yet those cultures are famously bad with line out and scrum discipline that we've become so much worse than the old school style of top organisation at set plays.

In the end it was always a private school sport serving their own world. It doesn't resonate with much of society.

Wallabies losing to Italy now. I think this tour is experimental.

After so Kant tournaments, Namibia won't be at the next RWC. A shame as I saw them in 2003 and ironic like the football world cup that expansion has seen some big teams still fall victim in qualifying.

Samoa and Belgium will play for the final spot. Belgium beat Namibia and Brazil and it'd be a massive upset for them to qualify.

Another embarrassing display by Australia. Where has the form of just months ago gone?

Bloody hell Belgium fight out a 13:13 draw against Samoa and Samoa qualify for the world cup on points scored. To think a small European team like Belgium were a single point away from a WC. Just goes to show they could definitely add even 4 more teams with Hong kong and Zimbabwe qualifying instead of Namibia.

I thought this was football and completely confused

Early try for Wallabies in Paris. Hot and cold against Lions, decent rugby championship but this European Tour has been poor yet I've seen comments of lots of experimenting.
