It was obvious last year that Auckland got a helping hand from the powers that be. But how the fark is it possible that a team from NZ gets to play from rounds 2 until 8 in NZ? It's an Australian league ffs

They are basically setting Auckland up for the whole season.

The quicker we get these teams out our league and bring in local clubs the better. They bring nothing of substance to the game in Australia. Phoenix have been a strain on the league since day dot. It's time for NZ to stand on it's own two feet and stop sucking off the teet of Australian football. We already have enough kiwis here milking us for centrelink

Other than that NZ is a lovely place and I look forward to visiting again one day.

For the APL it’s all about $$$ from an NZ audience, frankly.

As I’ve said in the past, I wouldn’t be as bothered by their presence in the AL if there were a definite pathway for continental-competition for them(be it in the OFC or AFC), but bc they’re in this no-man’s land of having nothing of higher consequence to play for..that ultimately makes them the most plastic of franchises in the league.

PS. and they have precisely 0 business whatsoever participating in the Australia Cup💡

Do you say the same about Cardiff, Swansea or Wrexham.

Sutherlandbear se tira pedos porque el es un cerote que mama la pene;)

Having said that, Wales and England(same w/the US & Canada in context of the MLS) are literally members of the same confederation - which AUS and NZ haven't been for 20 years..and most likely won't ever be again.

Go figure...

NZ teams were in the NSL and A league, when Australia was still a part of Oceania. What is your opinion in SMFC competing in an Oceania tournament?

Respectfully disagree entirely. The league would be stuffed without NZ.

What I do know is that rangers should stop waving union jacks
