Correct.

Federation and Croatian clubs never got along as far as a i remember.

We also blame the federation for the Parramatta Power exodus, which was another way to kill us off, but we are still here.

Melbourne Knights has been a steady decline for a while, it doesnt help when there is so much competition from other Croatian Clubs in Melbourne who also compete in the same league, (Dandy, Dinamo & recently Geelong)

Sydney United never had that problem & we never compete against Hurstville Zagreb.

For us, its just a current rough patch. In saying that, we still won silverware this season.
 
Dandy and Dinamo shouldnt affect Knights much. They almost never play at the same time and in terms of Dinamo they live in the same western suburbs close to where they play.

What can we say competing against 25 other Greek clubs, 85% of which were our feeder clubs at one point (many have returned for the championship but we are still fucked in winter)
 
WTF so many feeder clubs developed fellas - ?
I mean to me its makes you weaker ?
So going back to the good ol days 60/70's - the player spread drain across all these clubs really weakenned what could havew been just say 4 main clubs if it needed to be for eg....
Is the reason the typical break off becaused such and such got pissed off with you know who I'll start our own club scenarios ?

For me the flag is a show of identity just like its used in other sports effectively like the tennis with no issues... the anthem is different and again there is no reason whatsoever to use it in Au football.

Ahhh, gotcha, that makes sense. Very brutal. I wonder if that's what Lowy wanted a second division for, the NSL clubs, but giving them a path back to the top... Man, such a volatile time.

The opposite mate... Greeks are soccer mad down here... Hellas or Heidelberg were the "big clubs" the family went to watch on Sunday and all the others were where the kids played on the weekends and trained during the week so the old fellas had a place to meet and have a beer and chop or 6 while the kids were training. ...

The world has voted with its feet unfortunately. Everyone in the world knows Italian food as a unique distinctive world cuisine, most of humanity couldn’t name a Greek dish. Grilled meats are ubiquitous globally. Aside from soccer food is another topic close to my heart, if anyone wants to organise a 5 v 5 in the park over which food is better I’m happy to indulge

We don't do Pro/Rel.
We dont do "effnikz" clubs and
We dont do "Italian food is better than Greek". hahahah

Most of humanity cant even speak Greek, let alone read or write it.
Im not sure their lack of education should really allow them a valid opinion :cool: :cool: :cool: .....
 
This will be my last post on the topic as I know there are people on here who are likely politely waiting for the food discussion to finish. Fresh, authentic, well made pasta beats everything. What other culture has a more iconic, universally known and loved, versatile/diverse dish at the heart of its cuisine. If you disagree you’ve not had good authentic pasta before. Full stop. And on that note I’m gonna pick up the ball and take it home with me.

Now you’ll all excuse me while I go get myself a souvlaki for dinner
