The Perth Glory thread

Kisnorbo will probably be the best option. The club has had such low standards for so long and him being a hardass as we know will drive standards up. The drawback to this is that he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who can raise spirits when morale is low.

Perth will be in trouble till they get rid of Taggart. He always wants everything to go through him and he's not good enough to score 20-30 goals a year. I know. He got the golden boot and Jets got the wooden spoon when he was here

On the contrary...
This season already i have been critical of Taggart being too unselfish and laying off passes to guys on the edges, when he should be playing the percentages and going himself.

Its ok to share the ball around and bring other players into the attack when the team is playing well and is competitive. But when you are about to win your 3rd straight wooden spoon, you need to do the right thing and score to win games.

Move up the ladder and then look to expand your game.

It was quite evident the tactics yesterday were different to what we had with Zdrillic. We had more possession than the opposition, unfortunately we have zero midfield, and zero creativity.

Whilst I agree that Kaltak has been bad, the reason he keeps passing out wide is because our midfield is atrocious and don’t provide options.

I would rather they try to play, learn from there mistakes, rather than booting forward with no purpose. But until we get some half decent midfielders, who can actually control the game, we are screwed.

Every team has progressively been getting worse over the years, but that was totally expected with the cut in salary cap.
You are definitely right that the midfield is atrocious.

Its like they hide behind defenders so that they DONT get the ball.

Disappointed in Timmins. Thought he'd add something but he just doesnt want the ball.

I miss Kilkenny....

Haha Kilkenny is exactly who we need, hasn't been replaced since.

Timmins was rubbish in Newcastle, don't know why we got him back.

A leopard can't change it's spots, it's too late for Taggs to try to become a team player, he doesn't know how

Went to the Bulls game last week.
Surprised at how well we played.

Shamoon probably our best player. Not afraid to take guys on.

In fact, i think the A-league needs alot more players who arent afraid to skill the opposition without fear of losing the ball.

One of the most useless statistics in soccer is the posession stat.

Give me players who are willing to play forward of the ball and chance their arm on attacking play, rather than pass back for the sake of maintaining posession - any day of the week.

Huge win by Glory today.

Give Andy Griffiths the coaching job. He's instilled some confidence in this playing group and they backing themselves.
