I think more importantly, Circati had established himself as an automatic selection, and as you say, they will also want a pay day when he moves.
He really is a generational talent. And talent makes up for most sins.
Parma have a history as well. Bres and Grella played there.
Volpato is still not a starter. Not established, yet. He is clearly good, but not Circati level.

Shanghai Shenhua now the only team with a realistic chance of overtaking Kevin Muscat's Shanghai Port on the last day of the season to the title after Chengdu Rongcheng lost 2-1 to Henan.

Stefan Mauk played a full game for Cong An Ha Noi in a 2-0 win over PVF-CAND in the V-League.

Harry Kewell's Hanoi FC lost 1-2 Hong Linh Ha Tinh in the V-League.

Jamie Maclaren played a full game for Mohun Bagan in a 0-0 draw with East Bengal in the Indian Super Cup Group C. Jason Cummings came on in the 62nd minute and Dimitri Petratos came on in the 76th minute for Mohun Bagan.

I think he needed to go to continent years ago, much like luongo

probably has a ceiling where he could play big 5 but couldn't manage the intense work load of a championship season

This is where the 18 team German and French competitions work well. More available matches are good if you're sturdy and have big squads. The Netherlands and Italy have horrible bench sizes. Give us 20 of those blokes to help feed 3 new A League teams.
