Love Duke, and hope he knows many fans suppory him. However, curious who you think will be the striker to take his place

Play with the names but keep the style of player.
Duke is a part of the problem not the cause.
I can't vote for his replacement while the roles around him are stuffed because everyone will fail at striker if isolated.
And from the title - surely Diks would be best to replace Duke's throbber.![]()
But some have descended at a much more rapid pace e.g. Australia. As much as I agree with this, more broadly, the slide in standards correlates with football wordwide.
The game has descended into a game of athletic prowess over technique and individual expression.

ah yes I agree !
I think its the attack of the machines, irobot ? and stangely compared to the past being so far far away we have caught that directive quicker than lightning, nah not that quick took 20yrs.
I've always had in my mind WHY didn't we keep some of our ol Aussie "physical" DNA mixed in the technical improvement approach.Ironically if we had maintained the old standard of selecting physical specimens at youth level, we probably would be in a better position today than the Dutch Overlord approach.
Getting atheletes is pretty tricky given we compete with other codes. We mostly keep first generation immigrants in our code. These days that is mostly African immigrantsI've always had in my mind WHY didn't we keep some of our ol Aussie "physical" DNA mixed in the technical improvement approach.
Like I have no problem improving our players technical abilities one bit thats a given but all successful winning Clubs and NT's have their mongrel players.
Be it CB's CM's - even the modern day winning Argies in Qatar have the mongrels that are not technical prince's but they know their position very very well.
Grella is the classic example of old, we have no one like him, Jedi, they are coached out of selection.
You can name plenty right now in top flight the mongrels doing the dirty work, take the yellow for team under the pump, that all important sliding tackle that technical play makers don't do.
LFC's MacAllister beast of a player, ain't pretty all game at times ugly but damn effective !
At least talking forwards here Yengi does have some mongrel in him.
Hope he keeps improving late bloomer 25yrs, maybe best is yet to come being optimistic.
Graz we still have heaps of ethnics in NPL/Club land 3rd/4th + gens in droves, yep I'm glad africans coming through, they also have some grit between their teeth, not many would be entitled whimps personating CR7Getting atheletes is pretty tricky given we compete with other codes. How many ethnics if gifted enough an athelete that they got an offer to change codes would refuse it these days? No matter the other codes regos keep increasing, trouble is we don't have a system and good management/utilities keeping them all coming to Snrs.
